Warm, Cool, or Neutral?
I cannot express how important it is to know the colors that work for you skin tones. I love cream colors, but it is a killer if your skin cannot handle that color. You will look like you are dying. A dead, dying, fish ghost. Find out what colors look good on your skin!
Warm Tests: 1. Vein colors are green, green/blue. 2. White paper next to your skin makes your skin look yellow, green, or golden. 3. Eye colors hazel, brown, amber. 4. Hair color chestnut, dark brown, red, strawberry blonde, or auburn. 5. You look better in gold jewelry. 6. You look better in creams.
Cool Tests: 1. Vein colors are blue, purple, bluish purple. 2. White paper next to your skin makes your skin look pink, red, or blue. 3. Eye colors grey, green, or blue. 4. Hair color black, ashy brown, gray, or ashy blond. 5. You look better in silver jewelry. 6. You look better in white.
Neutral Tests: 1. Vein colors are indistinguishable. 2. White paper next to your skin reveals a mixture of colors. 3. Eye colors are mixed or indistinguishable. 4. You look good in silver and gold. 5. Ask a friend which color palettes look better on you.
One caution to neutral skin toned people: You may have a dominant tone. Stick to that for photos.
